I, 80d לא יַחְצוֹב one must not cut stones Yalk. Deut. 854 אתה חֲצוֹבוכ׳ chisel thou the tablets ; a. fr.Part. pass. חָצוּב, f. חֲצוּבָה; pl. חֲצוּבִים, חֲצוּבוֹת. Y. M. Kat. l. c. Y.Shek.VI, 49d bot.; a. e. Nif. נֶחְצַב to be hewn, chiselled. Y.Yoma III, 40c bot. בקודש יֵחָצֵבוּ on sacred ground they must be chiselled.Trnsf. (cmp. גזר) to be decided, decreed. Lev.
